If you're told that  "There's nowhere in the world you won't see an Igbo man." Please don't doubt....yesterday while on duty, I saw two Igbo guys. Not a joke. I mean I saw two Igbo guys plying their trade in Somalia happily.<br />

These Igbo guys saw us while we were busy inspecting one of the venues to be used for the forthcoming Somalia indirect parliamentarian and presidential election. They walked up to us, greeted us with pigin English "Officers, unah good morning oo, how unah dey enjoy Somalia?"<br />
<br />
We were all shocked. Whaaaaat! Igbo man in Mogadishu, Somalia; the third most deadliest and dangerous country to live in the world. I was in awe with shock.<br />
<br />
How do these guys do it.?<br />
<br />
Truly an Igbo man is naturally a survival. He's a cat with nine lives. He can survive anywhere in the world so long there's business, commerce and people there. If humans live inside Indian ocean or any other ocean in the world, believe me, an Igbo man will be there plying his trade.<br />
<br />
I asked these men what they're doing in Somalia, both of them said they're both Somali football national coaches. One is the national coach and the other the assistance coach.<br />
<br />
How long have you been in Somalia I asked the coach. "I've been here for over four years while my assistance is now doing his second year here"<br />
<br />

"How are you coping with the language barrier, religion barrier, bombing, assassinations, sporadic shooting, food, weather, etc?" I asked with a grin<br />
<br />
"Officer, he no easy for this place ooo. Na that religion thing be the koko for here self. With God by our side, we dey cope and manage with them sha. Some of my boys dey hear good English, so na dem dey assist us for interpretation, but I don dey hear dem language and Swahili language small small sha. As for food, I don dey cope small small, but unah people dey try for us too. The former Nigeria Police troops I made friends with dey always bring some Nigeria food from their camp give us whenever them patrol reach here. And the place wey I dey live no far from here, the place dey very secure... I dey live close to the Police training academy"<br />
<br />
Of a truth, the police training academy otherwise known as General Khaye Police Academy is the most safest and secure place in Mogadishu. Safer than military base. All through the over 25 years of civil war in Somalia, it was ONLY general Khaya Police academy that was not overran by Al-Shabab terrorist. The buildings are all intact but with very minimal bullets and bombs signs. General khaye, stood his ground, fought with his life and made sure Al-Shababs didn't come close to the academy. The academy was remained after him upon his death. In Somalia, Police wear military ranks and use military guns up to armoured tanks. The Police is even more dreaded than the military.<br />

"Since your arrival here, have you gone home" a colleague asked.<br />
<br />
"Yes, I've gone home twice. But I often spend time in neighbouring countries like Uganda, Ethiopia, and Kenya though." He said with a smile.<br />

"Hope they're paying you guys well" another of my colleague asked<br />

"My brother na money carry us come here oo, if dem no pay us why we go dey here. Well, the money no big shall but at all at all na him bad. "<br />
<br />
"Like how much" I persisted.<br />

He smiled "Well, dem dey pay me $400 monthly and my assistance dey collect $300 monthly plus free accommodation".<br />
<br />
"Since your arrival here, I've you seen any of your brothers in this Somalia?" I pinched further.<br />

"Officer, my people full this country oo, if unah reach Bakaya motor spare parts market, my people full there."<br />

"How do they cope with Somalis?"<br />

"Well, if u no break dem laws, you obey everything here, you don't have problem. The terrorists here no dey after individuals, dem dey after the government except you're unlucky to be around their target, that's when individual fall as casualty"<br />

Now, these are two Nigerian men plus several other Nigerians putting their lives on the line without any protection in the third most deadliest country in the world just to survive and you're in Nigeria with your family and friends, eating whatever you wish and free to visit anyplace you want at will yet, you're still complaining. <img height="215" src="http://www.channelstv.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/fmc-owerri-protest.jpg" width="400" /><span style="font-family: inherit;">They warn that the reinstatement of Dr. Uwakwem will lead to chaosWorkers of the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri have staged a protest over the recall of the former Medical Director, Angela Uwakwem.<br />Dr. Uwakwem was earlier asked to step aside over allegations of financial misappropriation.<br /><br />During the protest on Wednesday, which was carried out by a huge number of workers at the Federal Medical Centre in Owerri, the workers maintained that since the former CMD was relieved, there has been peace in the centre.<br /><br />They added that any attempt to forcefully bring back Dr. Uwakwem will cause chaos in the centre.<br /><br />Doctors, nurses, and other workers of the<a href="http://ladyruchy.com/"> institution in July, 2016, held a similar protest</a>saying since the Interim Management Committee was set up by the government to handle the affairs of the centre, there has been normalcy in the medical institution.<br /><br />A Presidential Directive<br /><br />Their protests follows the directive by the Federal Ministry of Health to reinstate the suspended Medical Director.<br /><br />The directive for her reinstatement is contained in a statement issued by the Minister of State for Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, on Wednesday in Abuja.<br /><br />Dr. Ehanire in statement said the recall of Dr. Uwakwem is with immediate effect adding that the institution’s management would be supported by staff from the ministry.<br /><br />Contrary to the claims of the protesters, the minister argued that the appointment of the Medical Director of the centre is a presidential issue and her removal can only be done through a presidential directive.<br /><br />“Should evidence of misconduct be found against her, Dr Uwakwem will answer for it and face the law as no person shall be protected from justice.<br /><br />“Since Dr Uwakwem’s 4-year tenure is valid until 2017 and no evidence of misconduct against her was raised by a Ministerial fact finding commission, the Ministry desires rule of law to prevail over mob action,” he said</span><span style="color: #606263; font-family: proxima_nova_rgregular, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; font-size: 18.7px; line-height: 30.8px;">.</span></span></div>

I will never do it again.”<br /><br />Asked what she regarded as the government’s major achievement, she said it was to improve security in the north-east where militant Islamist group Boko Haram has waged an insurgency since 2009.<br /><br />“No-one is complaining about being attacked in their own homes. A woman reportedly “ran mad” on Friday, after discovering the father of her two kids and husband for 6 years had died since 2002.<br />It was pandemonium and endless drama in old port Harcourt town waterside as a woman identified as Grace Amadi by her neighbors ran mad on Friday afternoon after making a shocking discovery that her husband of 6 years and father to her 2 children had died since 2002, LeadersNg reports.<br /><br />A source told LeadersNg that Mrs Grace and her husband whose name was given as Tony had been married since 2010 and have been living peacefully with their 2 daughters who were both conceived in 2011 and 2013 respectively.<br /><br />Mr Tony had left for his job normally this morning and today was supposed to be a normal day in their lives until she received a visitor in the late hours of the morning who claimed he was a distant relative of Tony. The visitor’s exact conversation with Grace could not be extracted from either of them as the visitor left shortly before Mrs Grace began to scream in disbelief and rage, several times throwing herself on the floor to induce injuries.<br /><br />A source at the scene says neighbors gathered round and saw old pictures of Tony lying on the floor, apparently left behind by the visitor for Mrs Grace.<br /><br />The source was also shocked at the pictures left behind, one was wedding ceremony pictures of Tony and another woman dated May 2000, another was a car accident wreckage which had allegedly killed Tony, another was Tony’s remains lying in an open casket apparently depicting his funeral dated July 2002, the last one was a picture of a grave headstone carrying the full name and the dates of birth and death. The mystery remains, how is someone who had died in 2002 alive and well and even remarried with children?<br /><br />Attempts were made to reach Mr Tony by phone but they all proved abortive as his number was not reachable. A delegation of neighbors were sent to his office to retrieve Mr Tony but the delegation returned empty handed and revealed that Mr Tony never arrived at the office that morning as he drove out for work from his house.<br /><br />Mrs Grace had since be taken to a local prayer house for spiritual treatment against the advice of a psychiatric home while her children are being looked after by her neighbors as they look on confused. Dr Arikawe Adeolu, an Abuja-based medical expert, advised that it is safer to trim the hair rather than shaving it off completely. He said that complete shaving of the hair could cause infection. Shavers for shaving pubic hair Adeolu told our correspondent on Tuesday that shaving or waxing of the hair around the pubic could cause cracks and expose the skin to bacterial infection. He added that the pubic hair served a major purpose of providing some level of cushioning for the individual, especially during sexual activity, preventing the skin from rubbing against another and causing abrasion. He explained that if the skin around the pubic region was completely shaved and the individual’s skin came into contact with another person’s skin, friction would be increased due to the skin to skin contact. He advised that individuals who were worried about the lack of hygiene due to untended pubic hair should consider trimming rather than complete shaving or waxing of the hair. “When you completely shave the pubic hair, it re-grows in a slanted fashion with the tip sometimes growing into the pubic skin, which can crack open the skin. “It is usually a small crack which cannot be seen with the naked eyes but due to this crack and loss of integrity of the skin at that level, there is increased risk of getting infection. “Complete shaving can also cause boil to develop in that region. This is because when you shave, you cause some level of abrasion in the area which opens up the skin. “These small openings cannot be seen with the eye but they are big enough for the micro organisms to get into the body. “Also, because the pubic area is always moist, this serves as breeding ground for organisms like bacteria.” Adeolu said that trimming the pubic hair would also help to reduce the risk of contacting Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI), which could also be contacted when fluid from an infected partner’s genitalia came into contact with the pubic area. According to him, if the partner is already infected, the virus in the semen or body fluid can easily penetrate the skin of the other to infect the individual. He said that this infection was mostly caused by a virus known as ‘Molluscum contagiosum’, adding that there had been significant increase in incidences of such infection in hospitals. “It is a viral infection that is also categorised as an STI. It affects the skin and does not need treatment; usually after a couple of weeks or months, the symptoms go away by themselves. “You also have an increased risk of contacting other STIs such as HIV, Hepatitis, genital warts by complete shaving of the pubic hair,’’ Adeolu said.</div>

Iginla, who made the presentation to the beneficiaries at the Church service, also pledged to sponsor the reconstructive surgery for the acid victim in India. Bro Joshua Iginla The Pastor explained that the total sum required for the surgery was about N10 million and encouraged people to contribute to save the victim’s life. He, however, pledged to complete the money by next week with another N5 million if the balance was not raised by then. “I think Nigerians should rise up to defend the rights of women; to lay your hands on a woman is injustice. “I just don’t know how a man can do this (pour acid) on a lady; some people are just animals; how can you disfigure a lady like this. “We have hundreds of them (women) like this that they have done this wickedness to. “I am not doing this for her because she is a member of my Church; I don’t know her from anywhere; she’s even a Muslim and not a Christian. “We are only doing this to preach love and not to convert her to Christianity after her surgery in India,” he said. The Cleric said he would sponsor the trip, feeding and everything that was required for her to live a normal life. “We are working to get them visa this week to go to India; we will pay every bill. “I already have 10,000 U.S. dollars and by next Sunday, I will complete it. “This is an opportunity to show love to your neighbour because she’s not a Christian; your neighbour must not necessarily come from your religion or ethnic group. “This is the problem with the country; we think the person who comes from my religion or ethnic group is the only one that is my brother or sister. “It is not that we have the whole money in the world but this is a spirit of giving,” he said. A medical doctor who followed up her case, Dr John Eghosa, said she had chemical burns and has had surgery at the National Eye Centre, Kaduna, to preserve her eyes. According to him, she has a 60 per cent burns on her face and 10 per cent burns on her body. Presenting the car to Emmanuel, Iginla expressed concern that many Nollywood actors and actresses were suffering due to piracy. “The level of piracy in this country is serious; I hope government will do something about it. “These Nollywood actors and actresses are Nigeria’s ambassadors who are projecting the image of the country to the world favourably. “Many of them have died prematurely because they are hard working but piracy has crippled them. “We enjoy watching their films but we watch them when they are helpless with none to help them. “You think they are rich just because they act rich men’s and women’s roles but many of them get 50,000 naira for a role and they may not get another role until about three months later,” he said. Iginla enjoined Nigerians to assist those in need, saying “I give because I rose from grass to grace; so I understand that I will only live in one house and ride only one car at a time”. …You’d be in jail’ for e-mails if Trump wins, he tells her In a 30 minutes of presidential debate between Republican U.S presidential candidate, Donald John Trump and his Democratic counterpart, Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton, you might have thought the event was an intense discussion between Trump and Clinton over Obamacare, terrorism, taxes and the role of Muslims in America. Clinton vs Trump Yet those first 30 minutes defined the candidates’ second encounter. Trump turned accusations that he spoke crudely about women into retorts that Clinton’s husband, former president Bill Clinton, did far worse by sexually assaulting women. Just before the debate began, he even brought those women together before television cameras. Clinton used the town-hall style forum at Washington University in St. Louis to argue that Trump’s words showed the real man — one who isn’t fit to be president. She refused to engage in a point-by-point rebuttal of Trump’s charges against her husband but criticized the Republican’s temperament in an exchange over his late-night tweets. In many ways, it was exactly the event Republicans feared — Trump living up to his threat to bring Bill Clinton into the debate and even saying he would try to jail Clinton if he wins the election — and it seems unlikely that Trump’s performance will do anything stop the defections from a campaign in free-fall. And the public mudslinging — along with Trump’s admission he took hundreds of millions in tax deductions — seemed certain to overshadow attempts to hit Clinton over Obamacare, foreign policy, and revelations about her paid speeches to Wall Street. Here’s the tale of the tape: Lewd Boasts The early minutes were dominated by the story that has gripped the political world for the past 48 hours: Trump’s lewd comments about women in a 2005 tape that became public on Friday. Pressed on the issue, Trump repeatedly dismissed his words as “locker-room talk” while insisting that he had “great respect for women.” “I’m not proud of it,” he said. “I apologize to my family. I apologize to the American people.” Trump has seen a flood of Republican leaders abandon his campaign after the release of the tape in which he crudely describes attempts to force himself on women sexually and to seduce a married woman. A number of Republican members of Congress and governors withdrew their support for his campaign, and close allies — including his vice presidential running mate, Mike Pence — released statements critical of the comments. Pressed by Anderson Cooper, one of the debate moderators, about whether he had actually carried out the sexual assault described in the conversation, Trump initially demurred, before saying that he hadn’t. At first, Clinton avoided discussing the controversy head-on, responding to a teacher’s question about the tone and tenor of the campaign by describing her aspirations to bring Americans together. But as the conversation continued, Clinton said the tape was evidence of Trump’s true feelings about women. “What we all saw and heard on Friday was Donald talking about women,” Clinton said. “What he thinks about women. What he does to women.” She also said it was evidence the Republican nominee was unfit to serve as president, unlike predecessors his party put forward. “Donald Trump is different,” she said. Bill Clinton’s Past Trump telegraphed that he was ready to slam Clinton over her husband’s sexual misconduct shortly before the debate began, appearing in front of television cameras with women who had previously accused the former president of unwelcome advances. Sure enough, Trump quickly pivoted from tough questioning about the 2005 tape to a condemnation of Bill Clinton’s conduct. “Mine were words, his were action,” Trump said. The Republican nominee went on to describe the former president as having treated women worse than “anybody in the history of politics” and “disgraceful.” “Bill Clinton was abusive to women,” he said. “Hillary Clinton attacked those women.” Trump invited three of Clinton’s accusers — Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick and Kathleen Willey — to the debate, as well as Kathy Shelton, a child rape victim angry that Hillary Clinton had served as defense attorney for her rapist. Jones, an Arkansas state employee who accused Clinton in 1994 of making an unwanted sexual advance, also said the Clintons had attempted to find out sordid information about her. It was in a deposition for a lawsuit brought by Jones that the president lied about an affair he had with Monica Lewinsky, a White House intern. Congressional Republicans launched impeachment proceedings over the incident. During that investigation, Broaddrick, a campaign volunteer in the late 1970s, told FBI investigators that Clinton raped her. In subsequent interviews, she has said that Hillary Clinton was aware of the incident and had made veiled threats to her. The former president has denied a alleged sexual assault occurred. Shelton was 12 years old when she was allegedly raped by 41-year-old Thomas Alfred Taylor on the side of an Arkansas road. Clinton, then a 27-year-old law professor, defended Taylor as part of her work for a law clinic for underprivileged defendants. Taylor’s charges were reduced from first-degree rape, and he served just 10 months in jail. Clinton said Trump’s characterization of the cases was “not right,” and cited first lady Michelle Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention. “When you go low, we go high,” Clinton said, echoing that address. ‘In Jail’ In one of the most dramatic moments of the debate, Trump looked at Clinton and said that as president he would seek a special prosecutor to investigate her use of a private e-mail server while working as President Barack Obama’s secretary of state. It’s “just awfully good that someone with the temperament of Trump” isn’t in charge of law enforcement, Clinton responded. “Because you’d be in jail,” Trump interjected. The e-mail issue has haunted Clinton throughout her campaign and will continue to do so in the month remaining. It’s regularly cited as a reason many voters don’t trust her. Trump falsely said that Clinton destroyed 33,000 e-mails after they were subpoenaed. She and her legal team did so earlier on the grounds that they were personal and not work-related. A technician said he acted on his own to delete an archive of e-mails after a congressional subpoena because he’d failed to do so earlier. Pushed by the debate moderators to respond to specific statements made by the FBI after its investigation, Clinton responded by reiterating her position that using the private e-mail system was a “mistake.” She added, “I’m very sorry about that” and noted that the FBI probe found no criminal activity. Clinton didn’t mention that FBI Director James Comey called her handling of classified information “extremely careless” or that her public explanations about the system have repeatedly changed. She initially said she sent no e-mails with classified information but later said she sent none that were marked classified and finally settled on saying she sent none that were marked classified in the “header” at the top. Those shifting explanations came as the FBI concluded that more than 100 messages in more than 50 threads contained classified information at the time that they were sent and that three had markings in the body of the text showing they were confidential, a type of classification. The e-mail issue isn’t over. The State Department on Friday started releasing hundreds of additional work-related e-mails found by the FBI but not turned over by Clinton. The department is under court order to release more of them before Election Day. Trump’s Taxes Clinton, who has posted nine years of her tax returns online, repeated her call for Trump to post his. Trump has declined to do so, saying he’s under audit by the Internal Revenue Service, and will release tax returns once that audit is complete. There’s no law to prevent him from releasing them, even if they are under audit. Clinton referred to the recent disclosure of state tax forms from 1995 that showed Trump recorded a $916 million loss that year — a loss so large it might have allowed him to avoid or reduce his federal income taxes for as many as 18 years, according to tax specialists. Trump acknowledged for the first time Sunday night that he had used that loss to avoid federal income taxes — though he didn’t say for how long, and he said such tax-avoidance is common practice among wealthy businessmen. “Did you use that $916 million loss to avoid paying personal federal income taxes?” moderator Cooper asked. “Of course I do,” Trump responded. Trump also said that “most” of Clinton’s donors have done the same. “I know many of her donors. Her donors took massive tax write-offs,” he said. Trump said that a lot of tax deductions over the years have come through depreciating the value of his real-estate holdings. “A lot of things that Hillary, as a senator, allowed,” Trump said. “And she’ll always allow them because the people that give her all this money — they want it.” Trump also said: “I pay hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes” and said that includes federal taxes. Syria and Refugees Trump broke with his closest ally on his Syria policy during the debate: his own running mate. Martha Raddatz, the other debate moderator, asked Trump if he agreed with his vice presidential nominee, Pence, who said during the vice presidential candidates’ debate that their administration would deploy ground forces in Syria. “He and I haven’t spoken, and I disagree,” Trump said. Trump proved evasive when Raddatz tried to pin down why he changed his policy on Muslim immigration amid the refugee crisis in Syria. Trump said his position had “morphed into an extreme vetting” of immigrants and refugees from areas with high terrorist activity, but didn’t answer — even after being pressed –about why he abandoned his original call for a ban on immigration by Muslims. Trump called Syrian refugees “the great Trojan horse of all time” and said the U.S. had “no idea” who was entering the country. Refugees to the U.S. are subject to an intense vetting process that takes more than a year and involves background checks by multiple agencies. Clinton has said she would increase the number of Syrian refugees coming to the U.S. to 65,000. That would amount to an 81 percent increase over the current level. She defended that position in the debate, saying the U.S. needed to shoulder more of the burden of the humanitarian crisis. She also attacked Trump’s earlier call for a ban on Muslim immigrants as anti-American. “It is important for us as a policy not to say, as Donald said, we’re going to ban people based on religion,” Clinton said. “How do you do that? We are a country founded on religious freedom and liberty.” The pair also sparred over support for the Iraq war, with Trump saying he “would not have had our people in Iraq.” Clinton said fact-checkers had debunked that claim. When Trump was asked whether he supported going to war in Iraq in a 2002 appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show, Trump said, “Yeah, I guess so. You know, I wish it was, I wish the first time it was done correctly.” In a 2004 interview in Esquire magazine, he said “all of the reasons for the war were blatantly wrong. All this for nothing!” As a senator from New York, Clinton voted in 2002 to give President George W. Bush the authority to wage the Iraq war, a decision that may have cost her the Democratic nomination in 2008 and which she later called a mistake. Clinton has said she wouldn’t have voted for the war if she’d known at the time what the world learned later, that Iraq didn’t have the weapons of mass destruction claimed by the Bush administration. Obamacare Dispute Both candidates said Obamacare has problems. But while Clinton said she wants to improve “what works” about the Affordable Care Act, Trump called it “a disaster” and said it will “never work.” The law has succeeded at its primary goal. It has expanded insurance coverage to 20 million Americans who previously lacked it, driving the U.S. uninsured rate down by better than six percentage points to 10.8 percent, according to a Gallup survey. Clinton accurately described some of its most popular features, including allowing parents to keep their children on their health insurance plans until they turn 26 and prohibiting insurers from refusing coverage for sick people or charging more based on health or gender. She accurately said that those benefits would be “lost” if the law were repealed, absent a replacement policy. Clinton said she would “get costs down and keep quality up” and would provide “additional help for small businesses.” She didn’t explain how she would do that, and the debate moderators didn’t challenge her vague promises. Trump said he would improve U.S. insurance markets by “getting rid of lines around states” — a reference to a years-old Republican proposal to allow insurers in one state to sell plans in others without being subject to state regulators. State-level regulation of health insurance predates the Affordable Care Act, however, and changing that structure is opposed by state insurance regulators, including Republicans, who say consumers could be harmed and that out-of-state insurers would have trouble assembling sufficient local networks of doctors and hospitals. Trump accurately said that “lines around states” were “almost gone” until just before the Affordable Care Act was passed by Congress. The House version of the legislation would have created a single national insurance exchange. But Congress passed the Senate version of the bill, which created separate insurance exchanges in all 50 states. Trump said that Clinton wants a “single-payer plan,” a system in which the government pays all of its citizens’ medical bills directly. She has never publicly advocated such a change, and accurately said during the debate that the U.S. “has an employer-based” health care system in which most Americans are covered through their jobs. The candidate who has previously advocated for a single-payer plan, in fact, is Trump. He has since disavowed that position.</div>

DSS Judges Raid Details: See Names Of Judges And How Much Recovered From Each

<p dir="ltr">Sources at the Department of State Security (DSS) has revealed that the overnight raid on the residences of some nine court judges, culminating in the arrest of several of them, came as a result of petitions and decisions of the National Judicial Council (NJC), a statutory body that regulates the activities of judges.<br>
According to Sahara Reporters, two DSS sources, however, stated that contrary to earlier reports, the Supreme Court nominee for Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen, was not targeted in any of the raids conducted so far. Justice Onnohen reportedly raised alarm to friends when he noticed police action next to his residence as a team of security agents swooped on his next door neighbor, Justice Sylvanus Ngwunta. </p>
<p dir="ltr">A press release issued by the DSS indicated that Justice Onnohen is not under investigation. It was learnt that the justice's appointment is being fast-tracked to become the CJN in a few days, Sahara Reporters says</p>
<p dir="ltr">However, two Supreme Court justices, John Inyang Okoro and Sylvanus Ngwuta, were arrested in connection with the receipt of bribes from Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State. Justice Ngwuta reportedly traveled to Qatar to receive bribes that he shared with Justice Okoro and other justices in order to help Mr. Wike to win a case at the Supreme Court regarding his disputed election. During a search of his home Justice Ngwunta was in possession of N35,208m, $319,475, 25,890 pounds and 280 Euros<br>
The two judges have been linked with massive properties development in Abuja and Calabar. Justice Okoro is said to be building seven houses simultaneously in Calabar with the help of former Governor Godswill Akpabio and his predecessor Udom Emmanuel in Akwa Ibom state. Justice Okoro had N4.35m, $38,833 and 1000 Euros in his possession during his arrest this morning.<br>
It was learned that Governor Wike sprang up late at night to obstruct the arrest of a judge in Port Harcourt. The altercation that ensued created a tense atmosphere between the Governor and security operatives sent to arrest the judge. </p>
<p dir="ltr">One source told SaharaReporters that the judge involved was Justice Abdullahi Liman of the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt. Justice Liman, who is yet to be apprehended reportedly took $2million from Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party to give a judgement that “overthrew” the faction led by a former governor of Borno state, Ali Modu Sheriff. Governor Wike reportedly transferred the funds in cash to Liman in Ghana, before it was ferried to his home in Port Harcourt. The bribe was to be shared between Lima and the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Justice Ibrahim Auta. When the team arrived the house in Port Harcourt where the loot was kept Gov. Wike mobilized his men to counter the DSS team with the aid of the State’s Police Commissioner. Another source also stated that one Justice Uche Nma Agomoh of the Federal High Court in the same city who was a lackey of the former president of the Nigerian Bar Association, Joseph Daudu was also involved in the scam. </p>
<p dir="ltr">A statement issued by the DSS stated that their team was obstructed by the governor and some thugs with the help of officers from a sister agency, which SaharaReporters learnt is a reference to the Nigerian police. <br>
A security source claimed that Governor Wike left when confronted by police and DSS agents who threatened to shoot him, however, the obstruction aided movement of the cash found on the property. Governor Wike told a different version to the press, claiming he did not know who the judge was.<br>
As early as 11 p.m. Nigerian time, the siege on the homes of judges became public knowledge when DSS agents raided the home of a young judge, Dimgba Nnamdi, who apparently has been a thorn in the side of the DSS lately. When the siege was over, the judge's brother had been brutalized, after which the security agents showed their victim a "search warrant" meant for Justice Okoro. Justice Dimgba Nnamdi was "roughened up" but not immediately arrested. However, a DSS source stated Justice Dimgba is guilty of corruption and had been arrested as well.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Justice Muazu Pindiga, who was arrested in Gombe, was transported to the DSS headquarters in Abuja. A DSS source told our correspondent that Justice Pindiga was cooperating with the DSS regarding his role in a bribery scheme over the Rivers State election tribunal from which he was removed as a judge as Saharareporters exposed him for receiving N100m from Governor Wike.</p>
<p dir="ltr">SaharaReporters learned that Justice Muhammad Ladan Tsamiya, an Appeal Court justice who was recently "compulsorily retired" by the NJC, was not home when a DSS team invaded his home in the Gwarimpa area of Abuja, he reportedly surrendered to the DSS later this morning. <br>
One of the most dramatic scenes took place when the DSS team stormed the home of Justice Adeniyi Ademola. When the team ordered Justice Ademola to come out, the judge claimed he was not home, but his cellphone signal gave him away. He was subsequently arrested with at least N300 million found in different local and foreign currencies in his bedroom. Specifically the same of N54m cash, $171,779. 4,400 Euros, 1,010 Rupees, and 80 pounds was found in his residence.<br>
A different team also arrested Justice Kabiru Auta in Kano. </p>
<p dir="ltr">One DSS source told our reporter that the raids were meant to be carried out by joint DSS and the Nigerian police teams, adding that the police bungled some of the raids by apparently tipping off their targets.<br>
Several security agents stated that the raids took place following independent investigations that were triggered by petitions submitted to the NJC against some of the judges. According to one of the operatives,  none of the nine judges targeted haven't spent their salaries in the last two years. </p>
<p dir="ltr">One source revealed that the raids were originally planned for last week, but had to be postponed for "strategic reasons."<br>
A statement issued by the DSS stated that the agency had recovered large sums of foreign and local currencies. The DSS gave a breakdown of the recovered funds as follows: <br></p>

<p dir="ltr">Other foreign currencies were also recovered. The funds were recovered from just three of the arrested judges.<br>
The DSS revealed that its operatives also seized banking as well as real estate documents from several judges. <br>
The agency is making preparations to arraign the arrested justices in court early next week.</p>

 How does it feel to be fifty? </div>

Laughs. I’m excited to be fifty. </div>

What’s the excitement in turning fifty? When I was younger and I saw people who turned fifty, I used to think they were very old. But now, that I’m also there, I feel older but not very old. Looking back, do you have any regret in life? </div>

I don’t dwell on regrets. Life gives you what it would but I don’t dwell on it. I believe in being positive. So, I don’t even think of any regret. All I do is work. </div>

You keep talking about work, what kind of work do you do? </div>

Well, it’s in the shrine.</div>

 How do you run the Shrine?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
 Ah! I don’t know. There are different things to do there. You have to do your books, balance the sheets, make sure there’s diesel for the generator. Like now, people are waiting for me- there are so many things to do there. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So what are some of the challenges? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think electricity is the most challenging. We use all the profit we make in purchasing diesel to run our generating set.</div>

 You are a veteran dancer…?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
 Yes, I’m retired but not tired. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What could bring you out of the Shrine? If someone offers me millions of Naira . What passes through your mind whenever you are on stage?</div>

 I just love to dance. So whenever they sing, I just translate their songs into dance and I enjoy it. Dancing is my passion. It makes you shake your back side… That’s Afro beat for you, it’s a sensual dance. I’m even thinking of a reconciliation so that we can join the band.</div>

 Where there times you wanted to give up?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
 Many times, especially when you have to dance for like five to six hours in a row, and you don’t get to rest and eat well. And when you finally get few hours of rest, you think it should all end right there. It’s hard to leave what you have passion for. </div>

Do you sometimes miss dancing? Definitely I do miss it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
 And when that happens, what do you do?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
 I get the dancers and we start rehearsing. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Do you wish your father, Fela is still alive to celebrate your achievements as the first child? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I wish Fela was here for different reasons, not to assess me but I missed his company. Especially the way we shared our gists. </div>

What’s the beautiful thing you still remember him for? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
There are so many beautiful things to remember him for. I miss sitting and sharing gist with him, his lectures, going to his shows, listening and dancing to his music, him coming to our shows and playing guitar with Femi. So many things that I can’t remember. Fela was full of life.</div>

 Aside Femi and Seun, are you happy that many artistes are not playing Afro beat? </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
No, I’m not happy. Afro beat is hard, it’s not an easy to play music, it takes a lot of dedication. And in the whole of Lagos, there are only about three Afro beat bands and I always try to host them during Felabration. I wish more people are taking up the mantle. We must see Afro beat as ours in Nigeria before foreigners take it away from us. When you heard about the Broad Way show, how did you feel? </div>

I was proud that my father made an impact on people’s lives and that a show was staged in honour of him. I remember the first time I ever travelled to New York to see the show and I saw Fela’s mimic live-I was so proud. But I was again sad because Fela wasn’t there to see it. He never saw that in his life time. I loved the show and watched it several times. And there were young guys and ladies who heard about Fela and appreciated him for what he stood for. Hopefully, this will inspire the Nigerian youths to stop running away from his music and who Fela was. And when it finally came to Lagos… Yes, I remember when it was first staged in the Shrine-it was fantastic. Every one in the Shrine loved the show and the casts loved the Shrine. And when the casts got to Eko Hotel, they just loved the fact that when they were singing the song, Nigerians sang along . But the reverse was the case in New York because they couldn’t sing Fela’s songs there-they loved it and didn’t want to leave. </div>

 Yes </div>

I’ve answered that. I don’t have anybody who wants to marry me</div>

Don’t you wish to be married someday? I’m happy the way I am and I’m in a very nice relationship with someone I love. </div>

You’re not thinking about marriage?</div>

 I have nothing against marriage. I’m just happy where I am. At fifty, you’re set in your way and not sure whether you’ll make a good wife material anymore. I’m a career woman, I face my career which is my life and it takes my time. I traveled a lot too. But for now, my life is in the Shrine. And like I said, I’m in a relationship and we’re both happy together. If it ends in marriage so be it and if it doesn’t, I’m happy. </div>

What has motherhood done to you?</div>

 It gave me a daughter whom I love very much, She’s the most important thing to me. I remember that I used to smoke before she gained admission into the university. But then, I realised that if I should die as a result of my smoking habit, there would be no one to take care of her. And as much as I enjoyed smoking, I had to stop it. I want to live to see my grand children.</div>
