Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri has said a bag of rice could be as high as N40,000 by December 2016 if Nigeria fails to start producing rice.</div>

Lokpobiri, who made this known at a town hall meeting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Saturday, said that Nigeria spends about $22bn a year on importation of food into the country.</div>

He said, “For your information, we spend about $22bn a year importing food into Nigeria. We know how many more dollars they bought and that is why you see the price of rice going up.</div>

“Price of rice was may be N12,000 some months ago, but it is now about N26,000 and if we don’t start producing, by December it could be N40,000.</div>

“Rice matures in three months. So, this is a wake up call for Bayelsa people to take the four farms we have seriously. The federal government has four farms in the state in our records.<br />The average land you see in Bayelsa can grow rice, so the colonial masters were not wrong in their assessment when they said Niger Delta could feed not only Nigerian but also the entire West Africa sub-region.</div>

Wife of late Pastor Sam Moses Enenche, brother to maverick Pastor, Paul Enenche of Dunamis International, has just been thrown out of her matrimonial home by her in-laws, barely two weeks after her husband's burial.<br />
The Enenche family decided to strip her off all she shared with her husband just because she had no child for the late Abuja Pastor.<br />
In an emotional laden voice, at midnight, she simply said, "Madam, it is well!".<br />
What baffles me is why she would be so treated under the nose of Dr Paul Enenche.<br />
No matter the reasons given by her husband's family, this is purely wicked and unacceptable.<br />

SECURITY AGENCIES AND EDO STATE GUBERNATORIAL ELECTION: AN ALARM.

<p dir="ltr">The GET INVOLVED CAMPAIGN wishes to alert the nation of a very dangerous dimension in the impending Edo state governorship election slated for September 10, 2016. This statement is intended at ” looking for dark goat before night beckons” since it is now totally clear that the same agents of darkness that have been subverting the will of the people during elections in this country are gathering again , this time through their agents in the security agencies to pervert the cause of justice. It is important  at this point to situate the inglorious role being played of security agencies especially the Nigerian Police few days to the state gubernatorial election to truncate well established plans by the INEC to guarantee a free and fair election in the state.</p>
<p dir="ltr">How else do you explain the sudden redeployment of the Commissioner of Police of the state few days to the election.  While we do not doubt the competence of the new commissioner of police, we  wonder, why now?The sudden transfer by the Police force is a wrong signal as it will undermine the security network and meetings done before now between the security agencies and the commission with a view to ensuring free and fair election and also ensure that the votes of the registered voters count.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The commissioner was transferred to Police College Ikeja. The worrisome aspect of it is that he fully participated in the inter- agency Committe on election security of INEC that is said to have completely overhauled and put in palace new foolproof elections security architecture that was primarily meant to forestall cases of violence induced inconclusive elections and crass manipulation by political actors. This new security strategy was to be tested in Edo State and based on its success adjusted in Ondo for a broader security regime that will be out in place to confine rigging to the dustbin. We also reliably gathered that following this transfer, their is plan to also replace all the Divisional Police Officers (DPO’s) in the state as part of a grand plot to frustrate INEC’s plans and leave the electoral turf as a free for all. This sudden change and movement of security agencies in the state is therefore suspicious as the new structure will only carry out the script of their pay masters at the expense of the electorates.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Based on the aforementioned, we thus use this medium to inform the general public that should anything go wrong with the September 10 election in Edo state, then we should hold the security agencies responsible and by extension the federal government. Their can not be better time to test the new initiative of the electoral umpire,but the changes effected among the leadership of the police in the state is a major blow that might undermine the full execution of the strategy which is needed to prevent inconclusive elections.</p>
<p dir="ltr">INEC, from its official pronouncements is ready for the task ahead and seems to have learnt from its past experiences and has put in place plans to ensure that the election is conclusive and votes of the electorates count, but with this move we all need to rise up and Get Involved in the process to monitor and ensure that rigging is not allowed and the security agencies do not compromise on acceptable standards that would benefit either of the parties involved in the elections.</p>
<p dir="ltr">We are therefore using this medium to warn politicians against any actions that will jeopardize the conduct of elections in the state and calling on the security agencies to stay above board. However, were this timely warning fails, we urge INEC not to be hoodwinked or intimidated into accepting election results that are fraught with anomalies and secured through manipulation of results and violence.  We must support INEC’s initiative to guarantee the nation a free, fair, transparent , credible elections that will mitigate the economic loses that we usually follows flawed elections.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Zuckerberg arrived Lagos on Tuesday for an official visit to Nigeria and during the visit, the philanthropist was seen with hosts of entertainers including movie director, Kunle Afolayan, among others.</p>
<p dir="ltr">But ‘Omo sexy’, as she is fondly called, wondered why the Facebook founder ignored users with highest number of followers on his social media platform.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Sometimes I wonder where all these self acclaimed “human right activist” have gone to, what they are doing and if at all they are still what they claimed they were during the last administration. I could remember vividly, during the former president Goodluck Jonathan’s administration, we recorded the highest number of political activist, Human right activist, and so on and so forth, because they felt their freedom of speech, expression, were very fundamental to them and they used it very well in condemning his government without any atom of harassment on why they should do, say, or write what they wrote about a particular person, group of persons or a political party. They made a lots of caricature of the former president, his wife and his administration because their freedom of speech and expression were respected. They come out to condemn every actions, steps, proposals of the then administration and they walk freely without any fear of being arrested by the DSS, EFCC, and the Police. Today, police leave things that are higher sensitive only to arrest, and charged a man who named his dog ‘buhari’ and they have made their institution a one man show. Where were the police when the Fulani Herdsmen went into Enugu State, Kogi state to kill and terrorise people?   DSS and EFCC no longer obey court orders again, they keep people in their custodies without charging them to court. They even arrest people first before carrying out an investigation. Companies are sacking their staff on daily basis because they could no longer pay salaries. Small medium enterprise are closing down because they can no longer maintain the business and the government are not even encouraging. Prices of things are on the high side on daily basis. Yet, the so called ‘activist’ are no where to be found again to come and speak for their people. They have now turned a deaf ear on their people. I call them opportunist and stomach hungry activist because they are ‘sponsored’ activist. I could remember the days of late Ken Saro-Wiwa, Late Fela Anikulapo Kuti, and the rest that were always fighting and telling the government the truth without missing words. Those are the people worthy to be called an activist and not these hungry looking people seeking for attention from their people. The likes Ayo Fayose, FFK, Reuben Abati and few others I can not remember are people that are worthy to be called the great activist of our time, because, these people come out to say the truth the way it is without any fear of anybody. They tell the government what they are supposed to hear. They have always been at the forefront of the war. I so much like the former Aviation Minister, FFK for his boldness to come out and tell the government of Muhammadu Buhari where he’s going wrong even after his unlawful detention by our ‘sycophants’ DSS. Ekiti State Governor is another person I so much respect because he is fearless in his actions. Where are the likes of Wole Soyinka, Adichie Amanda, OBJ, etc who were always quick to condemn the activities of the former president? Are they still in this country? People are dieing on daily basis, unemployment rate is increasing per minute per second, and the so called ‘change’ government can not do anything to address these situations. Fulani Herdsmen are on the increase, and President Muhammadu Buhari has never for once come out to address these blood sacking demons. I hope Rotimi Amaechi, Ashiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Raji Fashola, OBJ, and the rest are all there looking and witnessing the kind of hardship the citizens of this noble country are passing through just because of their selfish interest? I hope all the so called ‘activist’ are also with their pen and paper jotting down the level of recession this country is witnessing? I hope all the elder state men that made sure Muhammadu Buhari was installed as a President because he was never elected are also part of this suffering too? I hope and also hope we are all reading this piece of writ up?</p>

She came back home at 11:00pm from a near death experience with money ritualist

<p dir="ltr">So it was with a 42-year-old mother of four, Olorunyomi (not real name). She set the whole of Academy area of Odo-Ona Elewe, Orita Challenge, Ibadan, that Friday, August 19, 2016, into wild jubilation.<br></p>
<p dir="ltr">Reason: She came back home at 11:00pm from a near death experience with money ritualists. She was kidnapped on Tuesday, August 16, after transacting business in one of the banks at Challenge, Ibadan, that fateful afternoon.<br></p>
<p dir="ltr">Olorunyomi, an events planner, was still shell shocked when she narrated her ordeal to Daily Sun. She found it difficult to comprehend why fellow human being could be so wicked as to kill a fellow human being for whatever purpose.<br>
She met a middle-aged woman at the banking hall who became very jovial with her as she asked about the welfare of her children: “I felt comfortable with her the way she was relating with me and we became friends. Afterwards, I got out of the bank and was heading for another bank at Orita Challenge.<br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“The woman beckoned on to me from a beautiful Honda Element car, introduced a girl of about 13 years old who wore a school uniform of a popular girls’ school at Molete, Ibadan, as her daughter and the man behind the wheels as her husband. She asked me to join them since they were going towards Orita Challenge.<br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“As we approached the bank, I asked the driver to stop so that I can alight but he did not. The woman looked back at me with disdain and said, ‘you don’t know what has happened to you.’ I struggled to open the door but it was locked. I thought by the time we get to the police check point at New Garage, I would be able to scream for help. But before we got there, I was already weak and could not utter a word. It was then I realized that everyone in the car could not talk including the driver.<br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“I became a bit conscious later and when I opened my eyes all I saw was ‘Welcome to Sagamu’ in one of the bill boards as the car swerved off the highway into a thick bush. We arrived at a big gate of a very beautiful mansion situated in the bush.<br>
“We were ordered to alight from the car. The man behind the wheels suddenly became conscious and was trying to ask where he was. One of our captors struck him with an object, something like a black belt, he fell and died instantly. <br></p>
<p dir="ltr">As he was being dragged to the place where his body parts would be dismembered, the woman that lured me into the car rushed at him and disposed him off his valuables like wristwatch, gold chain, wallet and his two phones.<br>
“The woman looked at me disdainfully again and said, ‘madam no matter what you are thinking, we can never meet on this planet earth again.’ I wondered how she could read or hear my thoughts easily.<br><br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“We were ushered into a large room with CCTV monitoring the Shagamu Expressway. We could see activities going on from the expressway to the point where we veered off the road.<br><br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“The man who received us was very happy and congratulated the woman for briging such a ‘large stock’ despite the fact that it was not really a ‘rush hour.’ Some of us were picked to be transported to another destination where ‘supplies’ were urgently needed. I was among them. I noticed that it was 7:05pm from the clock inside the car that was to take us to our new destination.<br>
“On arrival, we were ushered in to another compound not as big as the first house and the ring leader was impressed. He locked me in another room where I met two other victims, a woman and one Hausa man. I was asked what was my name but something inside me said I should not utter a word. <br></p>
<p dir="ltr">I kept reciting in my mind a verse from the holy Quran<br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“The ring leader said, ‘look Alhaja, stopped reciting Al Quran here, or you think I don’t hear you? Let me tell you, anyone who enters our den has been forgotten by God.’ It then dawned on me that only God could save me.<br>
“He treated me nicely and told me that all he needed from me was to utter my name with my mouth. I kept mute and he left but assured me that the next time he would come I would be the one telling him my name. <br><br></p>
<p dir="ltr">He did come back after I refused to eat the plate of Amala that was given to me. The woman I met in the room also refused to eat. The Hausa man did not only eat, but drank the water given to him and washed his face with it.<br><br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“The man appealed to me that I should eat. He then told me my name including my mother’s name to prove to me that nothing was hidden to him. All he was requesting was that I should utter it by myself, which I refused. He was also very furious at the Hausa man whom he said had given him five different names.<br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“We were there all through Thursday till the wee hours of Friday. Suddenly, the door of the room was opened by the gateman. He led three strange old men, dressed in the traditional Yoruba hunting attire with local touch lights strapped around the frontal lobe of the head into the room.<br><br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“The man who led the other two could not be less than 80 years and beckoned unto me. I woke the other two with me. The Hausa man started reciting his last prayers saying, ‘from Allah we came and to Him we shall return’ in Arabic, thinking that the end had come.<br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“It was as if something was lifted off from my body as I regained my strength and I could feel a kind of peace and comfort all over me. The old man locked the gateman inside the room and led us out of the compound into a thick bush.<br>
“According to the old man, he came to rescue us from ‘awon agbeni pa se etutu ola.’ (Those who kill for money rituals.) He led us out of the compound around at about 1a.m on Friday. He said the three of us were safe. We trekked for about two hours before reaching a riverbank.<br><br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“He made us to realise that he deliberately took us through that route. If he had allowed us to go through the pathway that leads to the highway, though shorter, but very risky, as we were bound to be recaptured. He gave me three new N500 notes that could transport us to town. He lamented that most of the fishermen that could help us across the river had gone home.<br><br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“Luckily for us, a young boy of about 18 years old who is a fisherman came back to the river bank to check his net. The old man begged him to take us across the river with his canoe and then tried to identify himself by asking me to look at his face carefully.<br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“Honestly, the man looked like one of my uncles with seven tribal marks on his cheeks. He said to me, ‘I am still alive’ and went back.<br>
“At the home of that young boy, he brought three Okada riders (motorcyclists) who charged us N500 each to take us to the nearby town where we can board easily to our various destinations. The nearest place is Ondo town. That was then I knew we must have been held hostage in one of the villages in Ondo State or around Ijebu Waterside.<br><br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“The okada riders refused to take us to a police station or a motor park for fear of us being recaptured by the kidnappers. I flagged down another car from the spot they dropped us. After narrating our ordeal to the driver, he refused to take us in for fear of us dying in his car, as he did not know if the kidnappers had poisoned us. He gave me N2,000 for us to find our way back to our destinations. But the Hausa man joined a trailer filled with cows.<br><br></p>
<p dir="ltr">“The other victim who escaped with me had been in their den for over two weeks. She told me she was kidnapped on her way to Ilesa where she was going to give her parents some gifts after receiving her salary at the end of of July. She said her driver stopped to pick someone by the roadside drenched in the rain. She said immediately the woman entered the car all of them became unconscious till they found themselves in the compound of the house they later brought me to.<br><br></p>

An educationist, Mr Olajide Olunoiki, on Wednesday warned Lagos residents to avoid watching the annular eclipse of the sun with naked eyes on Thursday. Olunoiki, a Director in the Lagos State Ministry of Education, told newsmen that sighting the eclipse was injurious to naked eyes.<br>
He said that solar eclipse glasses should be worn to observe the image. Solar eclipses occur when the moon comes between the earth and the sun, lining up with the sun as seen by spectators on Earth. In a total solar eclipse, the moon lines up perfectly with the sun and blocks out all light. But in an annular eclipse, the moon does not completely cover the sun. He said that parents must ensure children are kept indoors from sighting the eclipse with naked eyes.<br>
“Eclipse is injurious to naked eyes, we strongly advice that parents should keep their children and wards from observing the eclipse without solar eye filters. “This is because children are very curious and it is advisable to get them the eye filters before the eclipse or keep them away during the eclipse time. “There is no cure to injured eyes and it is sinister,’’ he said. “If you don’t want to go out, stay indoors tomorrow. “The working class should also avoid looking at the eclipse without the solar glasses for those who can afford it,’’ he said.<br>

A Pastor and Church Member Arrested For Robbery In Lagos

<p dir="ltr"><i>The Zone 2 Police Command, Onikan, Lagos State, has arrested a 45-year-old pastor, Joseph Olude, and his church member, Rasak Raheem, for allegedly robbing in the Idiroko-Oke Odan area, a border community between Ogun State, Nigeria, and the Benin Republic.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>According to Punch, Olude and Raheem were arrested by the operatives of the Zonal Intervention Squad, after a tip-off.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>It was learnt that while the police arrested the two suspects, other members of the gang fled.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>Our correspondent gathered that on Thursday, August 11, the police received information that a robbery gang was operating in the Idiroko-Oke Odan area, and dispossessing motorists of their valuables.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>A businessman, who was moving money from Nigeria to the Benin Republic, was said to have put a distress call across to the police.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>The two suspects were thereafter arrested.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>Speaking with PUNCH Metro, Olude, a father of five children, said he owned a church, Elohim Cherubim and Seraphim Church, in the Hunbe, Ajegunle area of Ogun State.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>The pastor, who added that Raheem came to his church for a special prayer, explained that he did not know that Raheem and his friend, one Bidemi, were armed robbers and kept guns on the church premises.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>He said, “I have five children. I was arrested when the police found five guns on my premises. It was my church member, Bidemi, who invited Raheem.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>“Raheem was brought into my church in February 2016, after he was infected with a Sexually Transmitted Disease. He also owed a house rent. So, he came to live in the church. I did not suspect that he was bringing in stolen goods into the church’s premises.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>“I knew the time when someone came to collect a gun from him. Bidemi usually dressed like a policeman. I did not know that he was a robber. Now, Bidemi has fled.”</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>Raheem, who hails from Abeokuta, Ogun State, said the pastor was aware that some robbers brought guns to keep with him in the church.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>He added that the gang gave him (Raheem) N20,000.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>He said, “The pastor and I are friends. I went to his church and a man called Bode from Cotonou brought the guns. I told the pastor that the guns were for safekeeping in the church and he said there was no problem.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>“About two weeks ago, Bidemi called me that he wanted to use the guns around the border area. I said he should bring N10,000 when coming and he agreed.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>“The robbers collected the guns and when they were done with the use, they paid another N10,000. I knew they used the guns to rob. It was a five-man gang.”</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>The Zone 2 police spokesperson, SP Muyiwa Adejobi, said the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, had ordered a thorough investigation into the case.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>He said, “The suspects operated along border areas of Ogun State, Benin Republic and even Togo. The ZIS operatives were detailed to the scene and they arrested the two suspects along Madoga Road between Nigeria and the Benin Republic.</i></p>
<p dir="ltr"><i>“The police recovered one AK-47 rifle fully loaded with 30 rounds of live ammunition, and 15 extra AK-47 ammunition. Effort is on to arrest the fleeing members of the gang.”</i></p>

<p dir="ltr">A 43-year-old man, Taiwo Adio, has clubbed his wife, Yemisi, and three other persons to death with a pestle in Sokoto, Sokoto State.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Adio on Saturday night at the Old Airport area of the Sokoto metropolis also reportedly killed Rachael Adewole, 42, Benice Adewole, 10, and Esther Badelu, 14.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Rachael, until her death, was the wife of Pastor Jacob Adewole, of Faith Baptist Church (Sanctuary of Mercy and Glory), Old Airport Road, Sokoto. Ten-year old Benice Adewole was their only daughter while Esther Badelu, was Benice’s friend.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The Sokoto Police Command Public Relations Officer, El-Mustapha Sani, who also confirmed the incident, said the suspect had been arrested and the exhibit, a pestle, recovered.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Sani said the case was under investigation at the state Criminal Investigation Department.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The corpses of the victims, however, had been deposited at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto, for post mortem.</p>
<p dir="ltr">When our correspondent visited the church on Sunday morning, the premise was under lock, as there was no Sunday worship service.</p>
<p dir="ltr">A church member, Oyeleke Samson, narrated that he survived the suspect’s onslaught by a whisker.</p>
<p dir="ltr">According to Samson, “The suspect mysteriously disappeared from home for two days and on his sudden return, he started behaving in a strange manner, talking incoherently.</p>
<p dir="ltr">“When the news of his return got to the church, the elated pastor’s wife, the late Rachael, prepared food and told her daughter Benice, to take the food to Taiwo Adio’s house. There, Esther Badelu decided to accompany her friend.</p>
<p dir="ltr">“Before they arrived at the place, Adio, a bricklayer had clubbed the wife, Yemisi, an auxiliary nurse, to death. When the two girls entered the house, he killed them with the pestle in his hand.</p>
<p dir="ltr">“When the two girls did not return home after a while, late Rachael decided to trace the girls to the suspect’s house, not knowing that death was lurking. When she opened the door, the suspect raised the pestle, as she turned to take to her heels, the suspect hit her on the back, she fell and she was clubbed to death.</p>
<p dir="ltr">“On instinct, I decided to go to the Mission House. I mounted my motorcycle, only for me to see the suspect in a corner, it was the screech from my motorcycle that scared him as he attempted to attack me. The only words I heard from him were, ‘You people cannot poison me.</p>
<p dir="ltr">“I was left bewildered that why should he think anybody wanted to kill him. I ate out of the food at the mission house; moreover, he killed his wife before the two girls arrived with the food. I am still in shock.”</p>

<p dir="ltr">I saw someone mocking d Namibia boy who invented a phone  dat doesn’t use airtime Jst bcos d invention is big n enormous. And not convenient like our mobile phones today, and it kills me because who’s mocking him on twitter was a youth like him who probably spends 5years of his life browsing. You see the irony?  U’ll see dat dis telecommunications giants will buy dis Namibian  boy and hide his invention. Because he’s a threat to business. Just like Nigeria is prominent in great inventions but nobody hears about them after publishing. The likes of the unijos student who discovered a generator that uses urine as fuel. Years back when I was in high school, I was opportuned to visit a facility on a field trip and they showed us an invention that converts feaces in the latrines into cooking gas, safe and pure for domestic use, using water lotus as a catalyst. Ask me if I ever heared of it again? The Government complain about diversifying economy yet don’t support enterprenuers or fund inventions. U want life to change for you while u crossing your legs, my dear life doesn’t work like that. Even scripturally it says “faith without work is death”</p>
<p dir="ltr">  My brand purplenaija will one day emerge d biggest media platform to showcase talents of orphans and less privileged in our society. It’s my way of giving back to society. Building a brand is not a sprint race, it’s a marathon. A legacy isn’t  built in a day….it takes forever sometimes. But am patient. In the first part of this article i’ve like any other Nigeria complained about our problem, but unlike an average Nigerian, I want to discus possible solutions and a way out, so let’s continue.</p>
<p dir="ltr"> Education they say brings reform, re creates, enlightens. But how come the way we Nigerians love school, yet we so backward and narrowly minded like our fellow brothers and sisters in the African community? It’s simple, the thing is, we in tropical countries get wrong concept of education. Just like we do about religion. Nigeria is amongst the most religious countries, yet so much hate, discrimination and unbelief. This is the reasons why our ancient traditional rulers before the missionary white men came, they owned lands and the white men owned the bible. And they ask them to close their eyes to pray. Back to what we were discussing, Even those who go to school get the wrong inception about school, many Nigerians like to quote how the richest man in the world Bill Gates, and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg dropped out of school, but Never ask the most relevant questions “WHY” why did they have to drop out of school? If education is the key, Yes! Because they found out you go to school and  repeat what u’ve learnt, over and over, that is mediocre, that is limiting, we are not all created alike, our power lies in our variety. School is like bringing a cat, a fish and a monkey under one roof and at the end of the term you set an exam for them to climb a tree, yes the monkey will soar high because he was created for that purpose. So you call the cat and fish, useless or dumb, NO! They are not the problem. We go to school and cram pythagoras theorem and pie and areas of a circle or Daltons Atomic theory and u can’t really relate with this terms or numbers you just gotta endure it to pass and get a degree. Bill and Zuckerberg figure out something ain’t right so they broke out, question is what did they figure? This big names dropped outta sch cos they discovered themselves tru other people teachings and cultures, the likes of  Einstein ,Socrates, the John Daltons and Charles Darwin , YES! they broke out and made it, because dey DISCOVERED themselves early in school. Thank God for them. They discovered themselves, something we Africans haven’t done since the beginning. Education was supposed to expopse you to diverse cultures and great minds and thinkers. So u can think wide, become limitless thinkers, breach gabs and forge your own part. Invent yourself, become something more than just a number in concensus. Let your life matter, your purpose fufilled, We think cos we studied medicine in sch, we must become doctors, and wen it doesn’t work out, we blame witches and govt policies, Go and read abt dis multimillionaire lifestyle and u’ll discover one thing is synonymous with all of them, They are great Readers. Soon i’ll be wrapping up but let me leave this Quotes like I do when lecturing in IDP camps and to purple family wereva I find one.”Donot let schooling interfere with ur Education” you asking what is purple saying? Read it again let it sink. Schooling ends in the four walls of an institution but education is for life, self education is the key, and I leave you with another of my favorite quotes “Those who will not read have no advantage, over those that cannot read…”. And critics will asl what about All d big looters in government? They Are educated, some Doctors are governors and some Barristers are key members of senate and all, so you re tempted to ask Buh u ask WHY? “Why is their education not reflecting in the way they pilot there affairs? I have another answer for you “the foundation is faulty” even the bible says “if the foundation be destroyed what can the righteous do? I quote a great mind here ” To destroy someone doesn’t mean u kill or afflict him, NO…. is to take away the ability to recreate himself” the colonial masters took away our ability to recreate ourselves….Dats why we will  loot ourselves dry go abroad just to show d white man they we have it. Trying to be like the white man, forgeting our true identity and our values. We see a fellow brother and pass him because he’s black. A black cop in the US will arrest and mutilate a fellow black man just for being black. Former minister of petroleum could loot money enough to buy a small country like Madagascar, just because she can loot. Money that can’t be spent in an entire lifetime, someone will loot it, a black man would sell his kidney just to live a life to impress strangers, the list goes on and on, but that’s another article coming up. Before I go I leave you with this last quote ” the world is like this today, not because evil has power, But the Good ones chose to do nothing ” Don’t fold your arms, work hard, study hard, times are changing. U can be more than you are today, be patient too. Get Christ in your life because without God you can do nothing, mind you I didn’t say get church, I was specific “Get Jesus Christ in ur life today” he’s ur hope of glory.
